In the past, digital technologies, in my eyes, has seemed to be part of architecture that was yet to relate to the built environment. This meaning that things designed computationally remained augmented in the computer and not in the real world. Within the past two years I can now tell myself that this is wrong. People that are using these technologies are working directly with fabricators so that they can begin to create these amazing designs. Industry and architect are working hand in hand in this new process. This benefits the world in the realization of these designs and also benefits local economy by using production methods and materials of the region. The tie between the digital model and the physical model is being completed.
